12/13/2023 0 Comments Vdoe virtual vaCourses include both synchronous and asynchronous components: live sessions, readings, simulations, interactive practice, assessments, discussions, video and audio files. Online Instruction: Virtual Virginia offers core, elective, world language, and Advanced Placement courses taught by highly-qualified, Virginia certified teachers. The program offers equal access to online courses for students who might not be able to take AP, world language, core academic, and elective courses because of a lack of highly qualified local instructors for those courses, because student enrollment would be too low to offer the courses locally, or due to scheduling conflicts within a school. Virtual Virginia is a program of the Virginia Department of Education serving students in Virginia public middle and high schools by providing flexible options for the diverse educational needs of students and their families. Shortly thereafter, VDOE decided to fully embrace online education and merged the VSEN and VVAPS programs to form Virtual Virginia. In the mid-2000s, VDOE added web‐based course delivery via the Virtual Virginia Advanced Placement School (VVAPS). Thousands of students in Virginia and across the nation successfully completed courses through the VSEN program. VSEN’s primary mission was to serve students in rural and underserved regions by providing courses that were unavailable because of a lack of highly qualified local instructors for those courses or because student enrollment would be too low to offer the courses locally. Beginning in the 1980s, the Virginia Satellite Education Network (VSEN) offered AP and world language courses via satellite television to students throughout Virginia. The Virginia Department of Education has a long history in providing distance‐learning opportunities for its middle and high school students. The technology of the 21st century provides a unique opportunity for educators to reach students who want the experience of online courses. Virtual learning is the new frontier in today’s educational institutions. VVA program strives to provide instruction that meets the individual needs of students. VVA is committed to providing high-quality, rigorous course content with the flexibility to meet schools’ and students’ varied schedules. As a program of the Virginia Department of Education, Virtual Virginia (VVA) offers online Advanced Placement (AP®), world language, core academic, and elective courses to students throughout the Commonwealth and nation. 12/13/2023 0 Comments Snappy panda phishing(inlined by) storage::segment_appender_chunk::append(char const*, unsigned long) at /var/lib/buildkite-agent/builds/buildkite-amd64-builders-i-09f274c21d958cc0b-1/vectorized/redpanda/vbuild/release/clang/./././src/v/storage/segment_appender_chunk.h:82 (inlined by) _ZNSt3_16copy_nIPKcmPcEENS_9enable_ifIXsr33_is_cpp17_random_access_iteratorIT_EE5valueET1_E4typeES5_T0_S6_ at /vectorized/llvm/bin/./include/c++/v1/algorithm:1867 (inlined by) char* std::_1::copy(char const*, char const*, char*) at /vectorized/llvm/bin/./include/c++/v1/algorithm:1748 _ZNSt3_16_copyIKccEENS_9enable_ifIXaasr7is_sameINS_12remove_constIT_E4typeET0_EE5valuesr28is_trivially_copy_assignableIS7_EE5valueEPS7_E4typeEPS4_SB_S8_ at /vectorized/llvm/bin/./include/c++/v1/algorithm:1735 (inlined by) _invoke at /v/build/v_deps_build/seastar-prefix/src/seastar/src/core/:3575 (inlined by) operator() at /v/build/v_deps_build/seastar-prefix/src/seastar/src/core/:3579 (inlined by) seastar::sigsegv_action() at /v/build/v_deps_build/seastar-prefix/src/seastar/src/core/:3593 (inlined by) seastar::print_with_backtrace(char const*, bool) at /v/build/v_deps_build/seastar-prefix/src/seastar/src/core/:800 (inlined by) seastar::print_with_backtrace(seastar::backtrace_buffer&, bool) at /v/build/v_deps_build/seastar-prefix/src/seastar/src/core/:788 (inlined by) seastar::backtrace_buffer::append_backtrace() at /v/build/v_deps_build/seastar-prefix/src/seastar/src/core/:758 12/13/2023 0 Comments Periodic expenses due every monthSo, look at how much money you need for the next five or six days and subtract that from your paycheck amount. If March 25 is payday and your mortgage is due on April 1, then that March 25 paycheck will cover your remaining expenses for March, plus the April house payment and any expenses until your next check. The key to having enough money when the pay cycle is weird is to look at the two-week period in front of you. If you are paid on the 9th and 23rd, don’t panic that the checks arrive too late for some bills and too early for others. First off, remember that you’ll have at least two paychecks every month. It’s more to work with, but figuring out what to do with all the cash can be a head-scratcher. Still other times, you’ll get three paychecks in a month. This can leave you unsure about what money is supposed to cover what bills in what month. This type of pay schedule can be especially frustrating because sometimes the checks will come on the 1st and 16th, and other times it will be the 10th and 24th. For the months with five checks, put that extra $250 toward your current Baby Step! If your mortgage note is $1,000 a month, then save $250 from each check. If you’re on this pay schedule, save a quarter of your house payment out of each paycheck you get. In this case, five paychecks instead of four. Just like with the biweekly pay schedule (which we’ll talk about next), there will be some months where you get an extra check. This kind of paycheck is exactly how it sounds-you get paid once a week on the same day. You can attack the bills in the first half of the next month without wondering which paycheck is supposed to cover what. Then, when you get paid on September 30, that counts as the first money toward October.īy doing it this way, you already have a paycheck in place by the time you turn the calendar. So, to work your entire September budget, you’ll use the August 31 paycheck and the September 15 paycheck. That’s because it can be confusing to make a budget at the first of the month when you don’t get paid until the 15th.įor example, if you get your paychecks on August 15 and 31, then the paycheck on the 31st counts as the first income for September. The best way to work this is to treat the paycheck on the 30th as the first paycheck for the following month. You get paid on or around the same two days each month, such as the 15th and 30th. This one is perhaps the most common pay schedule. Then your May paycheck will take care of everything until June 15, and so on. So, if you get paid on April 15, that money will cover all your expenses until May 15. If you get paid in the middle of the month, it’s easiest to set up your budget to cover the next 30 days. For example, if you get paid on the first of April, then your mortgage, food and all other expenses for that month are covered by that paycheck. Whenever your check comes in, use it to budget for the next month. This is the easiest one of all-one paycheck equals one month’s expenses. No Premium? No problem! See below for more information on how to budget with your particular paycheck frequency. If you are an EveryDollar Premium user, you have access to the Paycheck Planner tool which allows you to enter all of your paychecks for the month and parcel the money out. But what if you get paid every two weeks and have those “magic months” twice a year with three paychecks? Or what if you have an irregular income? How about a household where you’re both paid differently? We’ve got all that covered! Adding income to your budget is easy for someone who gets paid once a month or on the first and 15th of each month. 12/13/2023 0 Comments Fractureme printsAt first glance it looks stable enough, however there is not enough of a bevel in the grommet to safely hold the screw. It did not have a pre-dug hole but a piece of foam core with a grommet attached. I was much more concerned with the hanging method for the large image. Or how many unlucky attempts you have at lining it up perfectly before the foam core hole is damaged. While this seems logical, I am curious as to how many times one could hang the piece before the foam core begins to erode away. Once in place, just slide the print down and the print is hung. It is a pre-dug out portion of the foam core that fits the head of the supplied screw. The small print came with a rather easy hanging method. Definitely an added plus and a true benefit to ordering over $100 worth of prints. I was pretty impressed with the packaging actually and was very curious how I received free shipping with the amount of care and material that went into the packaging. The inside was very reminiscent of Alcatraz so maybe that is why the words Fragile or Glass are not necessary. “Do Not Stack” and “Please Don’t Break This Box” are listed, but I think instinctively no one wants their boxes broken. However, I was quite surprised that the box did not say Fragile or Glass Inside. That definitely added to my anticipation. This one cleverly says, “Your Fracture Has Arrived”. When it arrived it was in a branded box, no different than many other printing companies. From the time I completed my cart transaction to the time it was on my front porch was about 7 days! That is pretty quick in terms of receiving a print without selecting expedited shipping. I was very pleased with the shipping speed and the packaging with Fracture. I ordered a large print (15.6 x 20.8)and a small print (4.8 x 6.4) with wall mounts so I could take a look at the mounting method and quality differences in the various size prints. While I do understand aspect ratio as a photographer, this is great for casual shooters who have no idea what the words Aspect and Ratio together even mean. The sizes are a bit odd, but as I type this I just received a helpful email from them about Aspect Ratio. I think my upload to cart completion time was less than 5 minutes. When it came to the purchase and uploading process everything went very smoothly. The website was clearly built, designed and presented with the inquisitive customer in mind. That thought was quickly answered by the Sizing & Pricing Page. After watching the video and reading about them my next thought was pricing. My overall experience on the website was excellent! I first went there with the thought… “What the heck is a Fracture?” That was very quickly answered with the informative page “ What’s a Fracture?“. Their friendly customer service staff were very helpful and granted me two prints for further review. A Screenshot from the FractureMe website explaining the process.Īfter seeing this new printing method I had to have a look for myself. Here is a look at the process from their website. At Fracture they print your images directly onto glass. These interesting keepsake pieces are affectionately known as “Fractures” from a website called FractureMe. Recently, I have had the opportunity to look at another medium to print your images on, Glass. On EverydayHDR I have had the pleasure of reviewing almost every print option available from Metallic Prints, to prints directly on Aluminum and insanely large banners and canvases. 12/13/2023 0 Comments Half life alyx globeCombine soldiers soak up headshots on the higher difficulties, making careful use of cover a necessity. You find only three weapons, all of which can be outfitted with game-changing upgrades like a grenade launcher or laser sight. From a story perspective, Half-Life: Alyx is an enjoyable and essential entry in the series.Ĭombat isn't the highlight, but it still produces exciting moments. Despite its status as a prequel, the campaign ventures into new territory for the franchise and pushes it forward in compelling ways. I especially depended on him for levity in some of the more horrifying sequences, including a nightmarish encounter with a creature called Jeff. Every time he chimed in on my earpiece was a welcome relief from the oppressive surroundings. – named for Resistance techie Russel, a lighthearted voice in your ear who guides you through City 17 in pursuit of Alyx’s father. The gravity gloves are technically called R.U.S.S.E.L.S. By the end, I was using my hands independently like a pro, unless any enemy got the jump on me and my panicked movements had me pulling the trigger on an empty gun and scrambling back for some breathing room. This never stops feeling satisfying, and using it in conjunction with other actions, like storing ammo over my shoulder and managing more complicated weapon reloads, feels instantly intuitive and fun to master. This sends it flying toward you, and then you grip to catch it when it reaches you. If you see a chunk of Resin (the currency used for weapon upgrades), you simply reach out and flick your wrist back. Experiencing it with this level of closeness and interactivity gives me a new appreciation for the series' specific brand of dystopian future.Ĭontrolling Alyx feels great thanks to the gravity gloves that help you manipulate the debris in your environment. Seeing Half-Life staples rendered with modern technology, explorable in virtual reality, is truly stunning. Intricately detailed faces follow you through conversations, and gorgeous vistas take your breath away. I watched for nearly a minute as a headcrab scrambled over a pile of luggage to get at me, pulling bags down and falling on its back in an unscripted display of the game's impressive physics. Whether you’re marveling at the disgustingly realistic viscera on corpses in the sewers or counting the teeth on the ceiling Barnacles waiting to suck up passersby, the gorgeous setting is immersive. Half-Life’s stark world has never felt so alive as it does here. The story (which is set between the events of Half-Life and Half-Life 2) finds Alyx on a journey to rescue her father from Combine captivity you don’t need to be a fan of the series to appreciate the narrative, but diehard fans have their patience rewarded. These components are enhanced by the VR control scheme, which feels tight throughout and only becomes more natural as you play. The gameplay is equal parts shooter and puzzler, encouraging immersive exploration of the beautifully realized environments. Centered on Alyx Vance, a main character from the series made playable for the first time, Half-Life: Alyx is an unforgettable adventure that undeniably pushes VR forward. The phenomenal atmosphere of City 17 is apparent from the moment you see a towering three-legged Strider knock debris loose as it ascends a building, and that feeling of awe continues all the way to the game's jaw-dropping finish. However, the moment Half-Life: Alyx’s intro text faded and I opened my eyes to a Combine-infested Earth, I was convinced. With that kind of tradition and audience, Valve releasing its long-awaited continuation as a VR exclusive is controversial. The Half-Life series possesses a combination of historical significance and fan enthusiasm that few other franchises can match.

What’s the difference between Photoshop and Illustrator?.This combined with its full suite of vector editing tools makes Affinity Designer our top Adobe Illustrator alternative in 2023. Perhaps the best part of Affinity Designer is its price: it’s available for a one-off payment of less than $60! No subscription fees and all of the updates are included! That’s less than a single month of subscription to Illustrator. If your clients or colleagues are still working in the Adobe Creative Cloud, have no fear – Affinity Designer works seamlessly with both Illustrator AI and Photoshop PSD files. Oh, and did we mention that Affinity Designer is fast? Even if you’re not using the latest M1 Mac, you can expect great responsiveness. Other features that graphic designers will love include previews for all different screen sizes, a saveable history with alternate futures, unlimited artboards, and the ability to have each change you make to a design automatically exported. The most notable is Affinity Designer’s ability to switch personas, toggling between editing vectors and raster graphics. Used by professional designers, illustrators, and game developers from all over the world, Affinity Designer has most of the vector editing features Illustrator has, while also adding in a few of its own.
